Major banks in Hawaii ordered extra new Hawaii state quarters in anticipation for the official launch 2 days ago (November 10). Many banks were also limiting the number of new Hawaii state quarters to one or two rolls per customer as they expected demand to be heavy.
Not many of the new Hawaii state quarters are in circulation yet, although you can find the Hawaii quarter on ebay--of course. The United States Mint estimates it will take a few more weeks before the new highly collectible coins become widely available.
This is the final state coin needed to complete the successful 50 State Quarters Program which started 10 years ago from the US mint.
