I am very happy to have found your site!  I need to give a little background
info.  My husband and I lived on Oahu from 1985-89 and 1992-99 while he was
stationed at a variety of military bases all on Oahu!  The Foster Botanical
Gardens was one of my favorite places to visit and I remember purchasing
fragrant solid perfume in their gift shop.  I was reminiscing about the
perfume and decided to google 'solid Hawaiian perfume' and that's how I came
upon your site!  At first I clicked on another site for the perfume but
found they required overnight shipping which was exorbitant.  Thank you,

The Hershey kisses are wonderful. They arrived on Monday, one of the hottest days this summer. They were a little melted. I put them in the refrigerator and they are fine.

 

Thank you for the free gifts. I am going to give them to my Hawaiian friend. She misses home. It has been about 35 years. She will go back next year for her honeymoon and a family reunion.

 

It must have been your blog that made me look at your site. I am sure I will order again. I will need to wait until it cools down in Maryland.

The Hawaiian coffee candles I gave to my friend were a very welcome gift.  She was instrumental in helping me create beautiful wedding announcements and I wanted to give her something I knew she would enjoy.  She loved those candles and was passing them around for others to enjoy their aroma but was careful not to left anyone walk away with one!

I wanted to let you know I received the sushi candles (and lovely earrings surprise gift!) and want to thank you for your fine service! The candles are great and yes, when I looked at your competitor's sushi candles in that gift catalog again, I could see that their candles were definitely not of the same quality.

I also wanted to let you know how I was using your gift in case there was any marketing opportunity in my idea. I have a brother who lives in Conn. His family is difficult to shop for so I asked my niece to recommend a nice restaurant that they all enjoy. It turns out it is a Japanese restaurant (Ichiban's). I know my nephew (once a peanut butter and jelly kid) now enjoys eating this kind of food (thank goodness!) so I got the family a gift certificate. I hate just doing certificates though, without a little something extra, so that's why I wanted the sushi candles to go with it.

Seems to me that if you could get restaurants to display your candles and just provide the web address or a few business cards, that it would be a great promotional gimmick. Even our local grocery store in Hershey Penn. now has a sushi counter that is quite good. They are VERY popular and when I picked up some California rolls last week I thought, "boy, wouldn't it be neat if a few packages of Cheryl's candles were available here?"

You probably have already thought of all of these ideas, but I thought I would just pass them along. Thank you again for restoring my faith in the entrepreneurial endeavor. I have shared the story of our e-relationship with many of my friends and they are envious.

What a treat it was to get to enjoy fresh delicious Hawaiian papaya here in North Carolina. We can't get Hawaiian papaya here. Our grocery stores usually carry papayas from South America and we've never seemed to find them to taste even half as good as Hawaiian papayas do.

The package arrived in just 3 days! There were 10 papayas in total and the last one is now gone. Even though we shared them with family that had never tried papaya before, the package still lasted a week. Everyone loved the papayas! We've saved some seeds to dry and use as a meat tenderizer (per your post) and possibly even try to grow a tree in a greenhouse. Mahalo for offering us mainlanders the opportunity to have fresh papaya at home!

Just wanted to let you know that I received the postcards last Thursday. The second set of cards was quite a surprise; please know that my daughters adore the cards. They did not put them down all weekend and finally decided that each would use one as a hand puppet (they take turns with it) and save all the others as keepsakes just as they are. Both girls love all they read about Hawaii and I hope in several years to save enough to fly them for a few days vacation there; we live on the east coast of the country. These are the first Hawaii items they have ever gotten and are precious to them. This is the second installment of our new feature on our Hawaii Blog. Every Tuesday we will share some of the emails and notes that we receive from our customer friends. are absolutely FANTASTIC! Lloyd is very, very pleased. You did a

New Feature: Testimonial Tuesday

We have a new feature on our Hawaii blog. From now on every Tuesday will be known as Testimonial Tuesday! We receive so many wonderful thank you emails and notes, that I figured our blog would be the perfect place to share them with everyone -- I do not know why I did not think of this earlier!!

Testimonial Tuesday will be an additional post to our regular Tuesday post. These testimonials were received by our company Big Island Hawaiian Gifts, Candles, and Soap by Double Brush, and are unsolicited and used with permission from the authors.

I found your site last year after returning from my
honeymoon in Maui. I purchased the solid perfume at
Hotel Hana Maui. I loved it so much that I ordered more
from your site. I just recently returned from our
first anniversary trip to Maui and purchased a different
fragrance of the solid perfume from Hotel Hana Maui. So
now I just ordered several of the Mango fragrance to
give as gifts... and I'll save one for myself. I
love your soy candles too!
