Fresh Hawaiian Papaya Spa Natural Facial Mask Treatment Recipe

Hawaiian-papayas This fresh Hawaiian papaya spa natural facial mask treatment recipe is for reducing enlarged facial pores and dry skin.

Fresh Hawaiian Papaya Fruit can do wonders for your body not only internally, but also externally. This embarrassingly simple fresh Hawaiian papaya spa facial mask, is used to treat enlarged facial pores. With repeated use, this facial mask will tend to make your pores look smaller, probably due to the removal of dead skin debris which can clog pores and stretch the pore walls of your skin.

This fresh Hawaiian papaya mask also has a slight bleaching action to help even out skin tone and will leave your skin with a wonderful healthy glow. Papain and Bromelain are protein-dissolving enzymes found naturally in papaya fruit and pineapple fruit. These enzymes help to dissolve and lift away dry scaly skin which over time, can build up  on your skin and leave a dull appearance.

Hawaiian Papaya Facial Mask Recipe and Directions

Mash approximately 1/4 cup of fresh Hawaiian papaya fruit with a fork in a small bowl.

Wrap a towel around your head then gently pat this juicy papaya pulp onto your face and neck with your fingers--the papaya mask tends to be a bit runny. Lie down and relax for 15-20 minutes with another towel behind your neck for support. Don't leave on the papaya mask on any longer than the recommended time.

You may feel a slight tingle on your face during this time but don't worry, it just means that the natural fruit acids are working.

Next, rinse your face with plenty of warm water followed by cool water. Follow up with your favorite facial moisturizer.

Note: This papaya mask treatment is recommended for all skin types except sensitive, irritated, sunburned, or windburned skin. The papaya mask can be used once per week. Do not store the papaya mask but mix as needed.

Papayas from Hawaii are a Popular Mother's Day Gift

Papayafruit

I never knew this before, but Hawaiian papayas are a popular Mother's Day gift to send to the mainland. (I don't think a mom who already lives in Hawaii would get too excited about receiving a box of papayas on Mother's Day though, ha, ha.)

Anyway, last year I had a few Hawaiian papaya orders right before Mother's Day and thought nothing of it. It wasn't till I could not get a confirmation from my shipper after numerous messages and faxes that I knew something was up. When they finally called me back, they said they did receive my orders and they were shipped later at a faster service rate because they had run out of papayas and were waiting for more to arrive from the Big Island.

They told me that Mother's Day is one of the busiest times for them to ship papayas.

Afterwards I thought about it and it did begin to make sense. I mean a Mom has probably received numerous bouquets of roses and candy and meals for every Mother's Day since she has been a mother, but sending a gift of health from exotic Hawaii that is full of vitamins and good for your digestion, now that makes a memorable and thoughtful gift.

A warning though, if you have siblings, they may get annoyed that they didn't think of sending mom papayas first--after having to listen to mom go on and on for weeks about how much she is enjoying her papayas every day & it was the best Mother's Day present she received.

Whether your mom is young or old, if you want to send her a box of fresh papayas from Hawaii delivered to the mainland, we can help.

Hawaiian Papaya Fruit Coulis Recipe

When I first read about Mango Coulis in a Hawaiian recipe book, I thought it could easily be substituted with Hawaiian Papaya, but first I needed to find out what is coulis?

A coulis (pron: coo-lee') (French, from Old French couleis, from Vulgar Latin cōlāticus, from Latin cōlātus, past participle of cōlāre, to strain) is a form of thick sauce made from puréed and strained vegetables or fruits. A vegetable coulis is commonly used on meat and vegetable dishes, and it can also be used as a base for soups or other sauces. Fruit coulises are most often used on desserts. Raspberry coulis, for example, is especially popular with poached apples.

How to Plant and Grow a Hawaiian Papaya Tree

Papayahalf

Planting and growing your own Hawaiian Papaya tree is fun, easy, educational and hopefully you will end up with delicious papaya fruit as well. The next time you buy a papaya from your market, save a few seeds to plant, and the rest of the seeds for papaya seed dressing, marinade or spice.

If you are unable to obtain papayas in your area, you can order Hawaiian Papaya Rainbow Solo Variety direct from Hawaii for shipment to the mainland USA. We guarantee that you will receive the most delicious fresh papaya fruits and a tree will grow from the seeds. However, I can't promise the fruit will reach full maturity--that takes a male and a female tree or a tree that has both sexes.

To grow a Papaya tree from seed, this family grew a papaya tree in a pot in their house--just like an extra large houseplant. See their directions on how they did it, including photographs documenting it every step of the way.

If you live in Hawaii or other hot temperature region, read this great article for directions on planting a papaya tree in your yard.

Hawaiian Papayas are the Super Fruit of the Angels

Papayavitamins

Papayas have been given the name "super fruit" by today's health practitioners, and also the name "fruit of the angels" by Christopher Columbus. The papaya fruit deserves both names as it is very nutritious for you and heavenly tasting at the same time!

As you can see from the papaya nutritional value chart above, Hawaiian papayas (and papayas from other places) are an excellent fresh natural source of vitamins and other nutrients: vitamin C, folate, potassium, dietary fiber, vitamin A, vitamin E, and vitamin K.

Research is showing that the nutrients in Hawaiian papayas: promote the health of the cardiovascular system, provide protection against colon cancer, help prevent atherosclerosis and diabetic heart disease.

Hawaiian papayas also promote digestive health, have anti-inflammatory effects, support your immune system, protect against macular degeneration, protect against rheumatoid arthritis, and promote lung health.

Read more details about the above statements and why Papayas are one of the healthiest foods.

If you cannot get fresh papayas year round at your local mainland market (especially in the winter), we can ship fresh Hawaiian papayas from the Big Island Hawaii direct to your doorstep! Receive the gift of health for you and your loved ones from a company you can trust.

We received this unsolicited letter from a customer today:

What a treat it was to get to enjoy fresh delicious Hawaiian papaya here in North Carolina. We can't get Hawaiian papaya here. Our grocery stores usually carry papayas from South America and we've never seemed to find them to taste even half as good as Hawaiian papayas do.

The package arrived in just 3 days! There were 10 papayas in total and the last one is now gone. Even though we shared them with family that had never tried papaya before, the package still lasted a week. Everyone loved the papayas! We've saved some seeds to dry and use as a meat tenderizer (per your post) and possibly even try to grow a tree in a greenhouse. Mahalo for offering us mainlanders the opportunity to have fresh papaya at home!

Hawaiian Papaya Seeds Make a Wonderful Meat Tenderizer and Spice

Hawaiianpapayafield

The benefits of the Hawaiian Papaya fruit are known for effectively aiding in digestion, and can soothe an upset stomach when the fruit is eaten or when taken as a juice. However, did you also know that the papaya seeds are very useful as a meat tenderizer and as a spice?

After you are through eating your delicious and healthy Hawaiian papayas full of Vitamin A, don't throw away the papaya seeds! The papaya fruit and papaya seeds are a prime source of an enzyme called papain that breaks down protein. This active tenderizing ingredient is a protein-digesting enzyme which is very similar to human stomach pepsin. Papain powder made from papayas and other fruits are sold as brand name meat tenderizers.

To make your own natural meat tenderizer, you can use fresh papaya seeds or dry papaya seeds -- just wash the seeds and spread them on a paper towel in a plate, then set the plate on a sunny window sill to dry for a few days. This is how we did it in our family when I was growing up, but I suppose a food dehydrator would also work.

My father -- the cook in the family -- would use papaya seeds to tenderize tough cuts of meat. This is how he did it. First, use a mortar and pestle or spice grinder to grind the papaya seeds. Rub the ground papaya seeds on your cheap tough piece of steak or other cut of meat on both sides, and then put it in the fridge for an hour or two until you are ready to cook it. You can also add the ground up papaya seeds to your meat's marinade sauce. The longer it is on your meat or in your marinade sauce, the more tender your meat will become; but you may want to test the timing, if you leave the papaya seeds on too long your meat will turn to mush.

As a spice, you can add your dry papaya seeds to your pepper grinder, they have a peppery taste but as a bonus can also aid in your digestion at the same time.

Don't forget, we can ship fresh Hawaiian Papayas to the mainland to you or your loved ones for a special and healthy gift treat.
